Thanks to a good start, Celestino was soon in sixth position, close to the leading group. From the middle of the race, however, the deterioration of the tires did not allow the number 13 of the Fantic Racing team to push further and, thanks to a few too many contacts in the tussle, the Piedmontese lost some positions in the final phase of the race, finishing tenth.
