The first race of the world championship confirms this year's great expectations!

15 March 2024
The first weekend of the season could have been the perfect debut for Aron Canet with Team Fantic, but instead the race turned out to be more difficult than expected due to tire management.
Despite a difficult start from Pole, Canet managed to recover 9 positions in just 3 laps and regain the lead of the group.
During the first laps, the Spanish driver proved to be the fastest on the track, setting the fastest lap of the race in 1'57.661.
Until halfway through the race he fought for the podium with great consistency, before starting to have problems with feeling with the tyres.
Tire wear was a bit of an unknown for all the riders. The conditions of the asphalt and the time of the grand prix (at 6.15pm local time) had an impact, as it was not possible to hold free practice sessions at night over the weekend.
Cardelus continues its path of growth and adaptation to the category. He was the author of a constant race, finishing in 23rd place, improving by 4 positions compared to the starting grid.
The performance over the weekend was very good, demonstrating the great potential that the Fantic team will be able to demonstrate over the course of the season. Opponents are warned: Fantic is there and there will be a hard time for everyone.
